I've used 1800packrat for 3 very long distance moves now that included lengthy storage times. Everyone I come into contact with in this company is friendly, professional, and hard working, making sure your move goes as pleasantly as possible!
I highly recommend 1-800-pack-rat to anyone needing to move and store their belongings!
The website makes scheduling delivery and pickup very easy! And everything is always on time, completed when promised to be completed.

Do not use them! It's been a nightmare from beginning to end. They had the container in the same city we moved to and told us it would be another month before we could have it delivered to our new residence. My husband was able to contact the local storage facility and get it delivered sooner as we received no help from corporate. We opened the container and we had many broken items, regardless of the fact that we packed everything so carefully and securely! We filed a claim and provided supporting pictures because we paid for insurance. The review of our claim took months- and when we would call to check on it, we were told that we would have an answer each time by the end of the day. It never happened, and although they were apologetic every time we called, it was as if they forgot about it each time. We finally got some answers on December 6th, and they denied the entire claim stating it was due to normal shifting. Just be aware that even if you pay for insurance, they will figure out a way to blame every broken thing on something that is not covered. "Normal shifting, etc." They offered us $250 and wanted us to sign a waiver to not discuss this with anyone, including the BBB, social media, etc. I am not signing the waiver and have decided to educate the public on this instead- they can keep the $250.00! 1800packrat is not it, folks. Be careful who you trust with your personal belongings and don't feel comforted by buying the insurance!

When we first booked with pack rat- we spoke with a lady named Kia Henley. She seemed very friendly and her customer service appeared to be exceptional. However, every thing past that point has been absolutely AWFUL! We called to schedule our drop off and the balance changed FIVE times in on phone call while we were bounced back and forth from person to person. Not to mention none of those balances matched what was quoted to us when we committed. It was very frustrating because they knew we were at their mercy. All of our belongings were with them and we had no choice but to pay them!!! There is definitely better services out there- do your research and stay away from pack rat!!!!!

Upon posting this review - I was reached out to by a woman named Ari. We thought it would be an attempt to make right on an experience that was beyond disappointing, however she found some how to make it WORSE!! She began by telling us that there really wasn’t anything she could do (which was fine because it was already done and we just wanted it over) but we then asked for an update on when our belongings would be arriving. She told us that our pod was In town and it arrived 2 days prior to our call. We asked for her to at least expedite the deliver to our new home because we were waiting for all our belongings. She was adamant that there was NOTHING she could do but and it would be delivered on the 19th. 10 days later!!! Her reasoning was lack of drivers. A couple days later we drove to the site (where the pods are stored) to try and talk to someone in person because the only phone number listed brought you to the call center (people we we have been dealing with). We finally had a great experience! We Met Chris. He laughed when we told him the reason we were given was them being short on drivers, and told us that was actually the opposite. He apologized for the call centers lie and scheduled us for the next day!
The reason why the call center didn’t want to help was because if they delivered it as scheduled we would be pressed for time to unload it before our month expired and they would get another months rent! Very DIRTY business

I ordered a storage unit (pod) from this company for a long distance move without reading the reviews, what a mistake ! I ordered my pod on 8/24/22 and was told I had until 8/27/22 to cancel, well after reading the reviews I decided to cancel and have hit roadblock after roadblock. I call to cancel and everyday it is over an hour wait time to talk to someone, but then I select new service and bam I get a rep immediately. I explain to him what I need and shocker he cant access that area of the computer, but explains that he will get me a rep to handle my problem, and then proceeds to transfer me to the hour wait time again, and there is no way to cancel your order online .... SHOCKER. I see that they reply to some bad reviews on here but I am betting that i wont get a response here but I wan to cancel order # 2517322 IMMEDIATELY !!!!!!!!!
I think this company is shady, and I do not give you permission to charge my bank account for any services as of today and today the date is 8/25/22 well before the 8/27/22 requirement I was told to I had to cancel by, I have taken a screen shot this review for the future in case any problems arise.

I scheduled a long distance move back in September 2022. My container was delivered on 12-17-22. I was told the delivery to the new location would be 1-3-23. I got a call from packrat stating my container would be delayed until 1-5-23. No problem, two days wasn't a big deal. Then 1-5-23 comes around and I called them and was told my container was delayed yet again until 1-9-23. Here we are and the container was delayed until 1-12-23. Please I urge you not to do business with this company. They are very unprofessional and uncourteous. I've already filed two BBB complaints against this company and about to file a lawsuit.
