Awesome food here. We got the Irish eggs Benedict and strawberry pancakes. So good, the strawberry compote on the pancakes was obviously made in house and so so yummy.
Customers were very nice. Food was very well prepared. The chicken fried chicken was a huge amount! My server was not the best. I had to darn near put my leg or arm into her walking path, just to grab her attention.
Service is always good. Food has always been fresh because they usually stay pretty busy. If there is a line or wait, they will take your number down and text you when your table is ready. The missing star is for the outdated decor and feel. The broken mirror on the wall has been there for over 5yrs (I know because I was there when the ppl sitting at the table below broke it) it would be nice to see the owners invest in the restaurant and remodel or revamp it somewhat.
So I found this diner on my most visit to Vegas. Great food. Great service. I've gone there three times on this trip. Planning to go back for more!
As I sit in the diner having waited more than 30 minutes outside, after the condescending young hostess so politely held her ever-so-difficult to comprehend clipboard and explained to me how a wait list worked after telling me it'd be a 15 minute wait... Simply because we asked about the breakfast bar. I realize that she intentionally sat others ahead us, which is cool. We had patiently waited outside to be called and even checked in after 25 minutes had passed. When we finally came back in, and mentioned the issue, she had an even worse attitude but did give us a table. So that was super kind of her, and we were happy to be seated. The server was kind and polite and got our order, which we were grateful for. Now having waited 30 minutes at the table after ordering I'm certain this was the worst decision I've made today (and this is Vegas, you come to your own conclusions.) It is understandable that staff shortages cause delays and stress for employees, but a 20 something with a clipboard, a bad attitude and a lack of social tact could easily make a patient person want to leave the establishment, write a scathing review and never return. It didn't this time. Which is why if you're reading this, you should know I am sitting here, finishing my chorizo skillet and finishing my review at the booth. If you seem to find yourself in a similar predicament with a particularly mean pint sized pepita, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Happy trails to you! I had enough time to write this novel of a review, I hope you enjoy your day. Thanks for reading!
