I really like the concept of Build A Bear. It really is a lot of fun. BUT.....my daughter's 11 dollar Birthday bear turned in to a $70 adventure. Then she sees a Jack Skellington. So he was additional cost, which I knew would be the case. But walking out with $150 worth of bears in their basic clothing is a bit much. I get it. I really do. They have to make their money. But throw a bone every now and then for the ones that spend the money. The ones that wait in the lines, etc. Like, you know....loyalty points or something. We can't go there often, because of the cost. And I really hate saying "no" to almost everything my daughter wants. The staff is great (they seemed to enjoy their jobs) and it was a pleasant atmosphere. Will of course go again. Just have to remember to bring an extra paycheck!
Holiday hours.... opens an hour later at 11:00 am. We called in advance and nothing was said about the late opening. It would have been nice to know before showing up with 2 little ones and having to wait for an hour. Also due to covid they are only letting in 15 people at a time.
So fun here! The workers know how to talk to kids and are so helpful. We had a fun experience.
I have been coming here for years for my kid. I just love their attention to customer service and detail. No matter what age your kid is from 1 to 30, if they ask for a build a bear , get one , it a gift that last forever !
