A bit pricey for only (4?) rooms. Luckily we got bogo tickets. The rooms are cool, but if you chose this place based off a cool ad just know that not all the exhibits you might be hoping to see are there. Also, bring someone that takes cool photos. Also I'm not sure why I had to reserve a time when buying a ticket. When we got there we were told we could leave and come back anytime. That was cool but since people could stay as long as they wanted, the rooms were rarely empty. Lots of other people in your shots.
UPDATED REVIEW: I bought 4 tickets to their "Grand Opening" weekend, July 31, 2020. I was pretty disappointed that they decided not to open, and didn't notify anyone. So I wasted $200 on 4 tickets. I asked for a refund multiple times but they kept telling me they have a "no refund policy". Several months went by and I had almost forgotten about my $200.... But 6 months later, out of the blue I received an email stating that MODS was under new ownership and they wanted to make things right. They asked for my order information for the tickets I had purchased, and said they would issue me a refund. A couple weeks went by and I actually received a check in the mail. They issued me a full refund for my tickets, and apologized for what the previous owners had done. I'm really happy I finally received a full refund. I still haven't been able to step foot in MODS, but I'm giving it 3 stars due to my experiences with the whole ordeal.
As a photographer, this place was really cool. Pretty much 5 studio spaces for the price of one. So many different angles to shoot from. Best time to come is in the weekdays so you can enjoy the space better.
Very impressive exhibition. You must have time for this museum. There is really something to surprise you. You will see a immersive digital art Gallery. I heard from their employee they have two MODS locations in LA. Will visit them when I get there!
HORRIBLE!!! Do not waste your money!! Four tiny rooms of cheap decorations just to get your photo op while other people stand around. We went for the experience, not the photo op. The ads are so misleading you think you will have this amazing experience. I could have made this myself. Such a joke. HUGE disappointment. I can’t believe something like this exists in our city. DO NOT GO! Spend your money elsewhere.
