Hidden Gem! Austin kept saying let's go to this BBQ place and today we finally went. I got their lunch special for $8 which includes a sandwich, plus drink and chips. Um what! Q and I got the pulled pork and Austin and Anthony got the brisket sandwich. Sides we got were the Mac and Cheese and potato salad for me. $2 for the small which wasn't small and $4 for the large which was worth the $4. They make their own BBQ sauce that is amazing. Definitely a must visit!
First time ordering from this restaurant and am glad I did. The food was better than I thought it would be. Hard to find a good BBQ place, but got lucky on this one. Got the chicken and ribs, chicken links, and sampler platters along with side dishes. The collard greens was excellent, as was the mac and cheese. Price was also reasonable. Will be ordering from Topp Dogg again.
Fantastic huge pork ribs, superb hot links, perfect pulled pork, and the sides, potato salad, macaroni & cheese, cole slaw, baked beans and collard greens all were very tasty. We got there too late for the brisket, which usually runs out before they close. We will have to try again soon for lunch! Great banana pudding, too! Friendly staff, dine-in open now. Drinks are cans of soda and bottled water.
Just tried for the 1st time. 🥰 so happy to have great BBQ on my side of town. Ribs so tender, hot links amazing and BBQ sauce was delicious. Can’t wait to try the pulled pork, brisket and banana pudding heard from everyone that came in how good they were. They were out so tells you how much people like them. Forgot to take a picture cause we dug right in.
I normally have a rule of never eating the same place twice on a trip. Very, very few exceptions, and this is on that short list. The pulled pork is amazing, and the brisket is worth coming back and breaking rules for. The sauce is a nice compliment, but not necessary, the meat’s so perfectly done. The sides are also great. Yams are tender and top off the meal great, and the greens are - well - worth eating green things when you’re really in the mood for meat. I don’t know that I’d necessarily leave room for them if it were up against more meat, but they hit the spot and struck the perfect balance between crispy and soft in a way that most places mess up on in one direction or the other. All in all, I’m glad I broke my rule to enjoy this taste experience twice, and if I make my way back to the area again I suspect I’ll be breaking that rule again.
