If you're in the area stop in.
Not very big, but packed with information. Well worth the detour.

The note on the door said closed but a lady saw us and opened the door and invited us in. OMG!!! We ended up with 5 members of the Thunderbirds giving us a personal tour. They even got special permission and we were allowed into the hanger. The museum is fantastic! It covers everything from the initial idea to the current day. The tour guides gave an excellent presentation and allowed pictures and answered questions. This is well worth seeing.

This is a very unique piece of United States Air Force History. The staff that mans this facility are very friendly and helpful. They really love to share their knowledge of the T-Birds and how they operate as a unit. This really is a must see if you are visiting Nellis. If you are not familiar with the base, it may be a little hard to find but, just ask at the main gate for directions.
